A couple of weeks ago, I was talking about things to do with the kids. Well, we have had a good couple of days.
My eight year old Isabella, is into watching cooking shows, reading recipes, and now cooking. She gets so mad if I don’t let her help when I cook. So, we have made Turkey Spaghetti together a couple of times before and had a good time. This time I let her pretty much do it herself. I was right beside her while she cooked our dinner like a pro. The only thing that I like to do for safety is put the pasta in the water because of the steam and drain the meat because of hot grease. Other than that, Bella did it all. She is going to be a very good cook one day for sure. Now I am a freaked out dad, I see bad things happen in all situations, kind of like final destination stuff. The whole standing in the chair over steam and hot grease made my heart race a bit but we had a great time over all.
Gabriel is about to start baseball again. Tryouts are in February for Spring baseball. We haven’t had a lot of time to throw the ball around because of work, school, and weather……BUT…….that all changed today. As soon as he got home from school, we headed outside and started throwing like we had been doing it all along. The best part, I think, was when I gave him the bat and started throwing little practice wiffle balls for him to hit…..the wind made it crazy for him! He still did excellent if I do say so myself. I think that we will do it all again tomorrow.
What a great couple of days!
