So…..here I am. Last year I had surgery and stayed in the hospital for a few days afterwards. I decided, with the help of my surgeon telling me that I could stand to lose a few pounds, that I was finally going to do something about it. I did!! I cut my calories, I walked everyday, I even started running. My regular doctor took me off of two of my blood pressure pills and I felt great!!! I lost around 60 pounds…But then….I had another surgery, then another, and then another. It gave me an excuse to lounge around and eat what I wanted while I recovered. Man I am such an idiot!! All of the hard work and pride for what I accomplished went down the drain. I was embarrassed and ashamed of gaining the weight back.
EVERYTHING IS ABOUT TO CHANGE!!
A group of dad bloggers that I met through a Facebook group have decided to get together and challenge each other to a healthy lifestyle. I am excited to be a part of it and ready to get started. We are starting August 1st and ending at the beginning of January 2014. We are all trying to attend DAD 2.0 and share our success.
